Three from New Jersey win lottery Super Bowl LVI jackpot, a trip to the big game

TRENTON – Three lucky New Jersey residents were called about their state lottery prize, tickets to the Super Bowl. One didn’t believe the caller from the state lottery commission, thinking it was a scam. That prize also includes a 5-day hotel stay and free airline tickets for themselves and one guest.

Fans of America’s biggest football game of the year can imagine how lucky three New Jersey Lottery players are who have won the package of a trip to the Big Game, along with some outstanding events that go along with it. The Quick Draw Big Game promotion offered players a chance to win a trip to the Big Game, including Hall of Fame events, $1,000 spending cash, and more!“Many people know about the Lottery and its cash prizes, but we want to highlight one of our other life-changing winning experiences that players can win,” said New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey. “Quick Draw and live-sports complement each other in our social playing spaces, so what better prize than a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the single largest sporting event of the year in the U.S.?”

Albert Baskinger enjoys playing lottery games and uses the New Jersey Lottery’s website to keep up on information about the games. “My son is a big football fan, so when I saw the promotion to win a trip to the Big Game, I entered the contest with him in mind. I knew at my age I couldn’t go, but if I was lucky enough to win the big prize, it would be great to award it to him,” said Albert. Upon learning of his trip prize he replied, “I almost couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic and immediately called to surprise my son with the good news, who, at first, did not believe it was for real. But once he believed me, we were both jumping with joy.” With glee in his voice, Albert said, “I really do believe that anything can happen in Jersey!”

Jennifer Fisher said there is a Quick Draw machine at the location where she works. “There was a promotion for the Big Game, so I decided to try my luck and entered it. I was in absolute shock when the Lottery representative telephoned with the great news that I had won a Trip Prize package, because I had never won any big prize before, ever! To win THIS prize was fantastic because my boyfriend is a HUGE football fan.” Jennifer was excited to share the news with him and not surprised when, at first, he did not believe her. “There is no question that he will accompany me to this event. We’ve watched the playoff games closely and are becoming more and more excited with each passing day…if that’s even possible.”

Duane Sulo’s friend mentioned the Quick Draw promotion to him, so Duane looked up information about it and decided to try his luck. “When I answered a telephone call from someone telling me that I was the winner of a trip to the Big Game, I thought at first it could be a hoax. But, since the Caller ID indicated the call originated from the Lottery, I realized it was legitimate,” said Duane. “I was sure the trip was probably to the Pro Bowl, but then realized the date was for THE REALLY BIG GAME. I had never won any prize of this magnitude, so knowing it is THE Big Game and a lot of other exciting events, definitely is thrilling,” he said.

Quick Draw is a keno game of chance that provides players with a field of 80 numbers from which to choose up to 10 numbers. The Lottery draws 20 numbers and, depending on how many numbers players match, they win a prize. Drawings are held every four minutes, and tickets can be purchased at select bars and restaurants throughout New Jersey and wherever other Lottery games are sold. Lottery Players entered eligible Quick Draw game tickets for a chance to win the Big Game trip prize. For game rules, complete prize package, and more information, visit EpicFootballTrip.com.
