Berkeley Fire Department Responds to Vehicle Fire on Arlington Avenue

BERKLEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – On January 1, 2022, Patrolman Joshua Foca and Patrolman Brian Flanegan responded to a report of a vehicle fire near the area of Arlington Ave. Upon arrival, Patrol responded to the backyard of a residence and observed an engulfed truck with visible flames and smoke. Bayville Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The owner of the vehicle explained he was doing repairs on his truck when the flames broke out. The Berkeley Township Fire Official and Detective William Somers were called to the scene to investigate. Upon further investigation it was determined that no suspicious circumstances were present and the scene was deemed safe.
