MOUNT HOLLY, NJ – The National Weather Service is advising football fans for the big game to plan some extra time for travel to and from your Super Bowl party on Sunday due to a wet and cold wintry storm passing through the area during the day. In Ocean County, snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected. A winter weather bulletin that extended from Wilmington Delaware north to Sandy Hook is in effect from 1 am to 4 pm Sunday.

"Snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches," according to the NWS. "The bulletin covers parts of eastern Maryland, northern and central Delaware, and parts of southern and central New Jersey."

Untreated roads could get slick as temperatures drop into the low 30s overnight and a high of 34 degrees expected on Sunday. Things will start to cool down again with a low in the mid teens Sunday night into Monday morning.

It all starts tonight with rain likely before 3am, then rain and snow between 3am and 4am, then snow after 4am. Low around 30. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Another slight chance of snow is possible Sunday night before 10pm.

Give yourself some extra time getting to and from the big parties and remember, don't drink and drive as many towns will have extra police on duty Sunday.
