Two arrested for Valentine’s Day armed robbery in Burlington

BURLINGTON, NJ – On Monday, February 14, 2022 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Burlington City Police patrols were dispatched to the 500 block of Linden Ave. for a disturbance. Upon arrival, they were met by an individual who reported being the victim of an armed robbery. The victim further indicated that two subjects fled the area on foot, one of whom was in possession of a handgun.

Approximately one block from the scene a patrol officer observed two individuals meeting the description provided by the victim. Upon observing a police presence both fled on foot. A brief foot pursuit ensued, which resulted in both being detained, positively identified by the victim, and taken into custody.

During the investigation, one of the subjects was found to be in possession of a handgun. Dujuan Pittman, age 21 of Burlington City, was charged with Robbery by Force, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Certain Person Not to Possess a Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Ermani Shuler, age 21 of Beverly, was charged with Robbery by Force, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction. Both subjects were lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility.
