71-Year-Old Rideshare Driver Found Shot Passed Away at Hospital

TEMPLE HILLS, MD – Police responding to a welfare check request in Temple Hills arrived to find a 71-year-old man shot in his home. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

According to police, ” On February 26, 2022, at approximately 5:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of Dunlap Street for a welfare check. The victim was located outside in a roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died several hours later at a hospital.”

The Homicide Unit is actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man Saturday evening in Temple Hills. The victim is 71-year-old Abdul Rauf Khan of Springfield, Virginia. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
