Memphis, TN
– U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest
of Joshua Tubbs for First Degree Murder.

On September 17, 2020,
Clarence Spiller was shot to death near the 3000 block of Calvert
Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. On June 9, 2021, a warrant was issued for
the arrest of Joshua Tubbs for this crime. This case was adopted by the
U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Investigators with the Two Rivers Task Force tracked the fugitive to the
Houston, Texas area. Coordinating with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast
Violent Offenders Task Force, Tubbs was located and arrested without
incident.

“The U.S. Marshals Service has skilled fugitive teams
covering every part of the country,” said Marshal Tyreece Miller. “This
is an obvious advantage when a fugitive flees hundreds of miles from
justice. They will still be found.”
