No Injuries After Rockville Apartment Buildings Struck by Heavy Gunfire

ROCKVILLE, MD – Rockville City Police are investigating after gunshots rang out within the Fireside Apartment Complex on Tuesday. Witnesses reported multiple gunshots fired at the buildings, but luckily, there were no injuries.

According to a statement by the Rockville Police Department, “At 3:45 p.m. RCPD units responded to the 700 block of Monroe Street, the Fireside Apartments, for multiple calls for shots fired. Upon arrival, police found evidence of multiple apartment buildings having sustained gunfire.”

Throughout the afternoon and evening, there was a heavy police presence in the area as officers were speaking with witnesses and gathering additional evidence.
