Non-Compliant Sex Offender Arrested in Burlington

Burlington, VT – The U.S. Marshals, Burlington Police
Department, and Colchester Police Department arrested a non-compliant
sex offender on a Department of Corrections Burlington Probation and
Parole warrant on September 28, 2021.

Tyler Benoit (25) was wanted by Vermont Department of Corrections for
violating his conditions of release with an underlying offense of Sexual
Assault-Victim less than 16 years old. Benoit also had active arrest
warrants from Colchester PD for Burglary into an occupied dwelling,
domestic assault, unlawful mischief, disturbing the peace by phone,
unlawful trespass, criminal threating, and stalking. Benoit was also
listed as non-compliant with the sex offender registry.

Benoit’s criminal history includes burglary, sex assault, and multiple
violations of conditions of release.


Additional Arrest:

Brownington, VT – The U.S. Marshals and Vermont State
Police arrested an offender wanted for 3 counts of heroin sales on
September 29, 2021.

Kassandra Medellin-Oliver (34) was wanted by the State Police for 3
felony counts of heroin sales, violation of probation, and violation of
conditions of release.
