U.S. Marshals Fugititve Task Force Arrests Lebanon Homicide Suspect

– Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Andres Rodriguez, a 23-year old Newmanstown man.

On November 27, 2020, the Lebanon Police Department investigated the
fatal shooting of a man near the intersection of Chapel and South
Seventh Streets. As a result of their investigation, detectives obtained
an arrest warrant charging Rodriguez with homicide and lesser included
offenses. Attempts to find Rodriguez in Lebanon were unsuccessful and
the fugitive case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS)
Fugitive Task Force.

Yesterday at about 3:00 p.m., members of
the task force checked a hotel in the 100 block of Limekiln Road,
Fairview Township, York County, and arrested Rodriguez without incident.
He was turned over to Lebanon County officials for processing and
arraignment.


U.S. Marshal Martin Pane said, “The U.S. Marshals
Service recognizes the importance of bringing those charged with violent
crimes to justice no matter where or how they flee. We give these types
of cases our utmost attention. It is my hope that the family members
will find comfort knowing the alleged attacker will face justice.”

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania
is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including:
the Harrisburg Bureau of Police; the Pennsylvania State Police; the
Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the Lower Paxton Township
Police Department; the Swatara Township Police Department; the Derry
Township Police Department; the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office;
and the Dauphin County Work Release Center; – all of whom participated
in this arrest. The task force was also assisted by the Fairview
Township Police Department.
