Harrisburg, PA
– Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane
announced the arrest of Timothy Harmon, a 53-year old man formerly of
Harrisburg.

On October 14, 2003, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police
obtained an arrest warrant charging Harmon with Aggravated Indecent
Assault of a Child, and other offenses, after he allegedly assaulted a
minor victim. At that time, Harmon was supervised by the Pennsylvania
Board of Probation and Parole for a drug distribution conviction. Based
on the allegations, Probation and Parole moved to revoke Harmon’s
parole. Harmon could not be found, and a parole warrant was issued.

On February 2, 2009, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police obtained an
additional arrest warrant for Harmon after identifying a second minor
victim. The warrant charged Harmon with Rape of a Child Less than 13
Years of Age and lesser included offenses. This rape allegedly occurred
in the early 2000s while Harmon lived in Harrisburg.

Attempts to
find Harmon were unsuccessful and the case was adopted by the U.S.
Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force. The task force pursued
leads in Pennsylvania, California, South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia.

on children our utmost attention. It is my sincere hope that the victims
and their family members will find comfort knowing that this alleged
attacker will face justice.”
