Two thousand bags of heroin seized during traffic stop at the Jersey Shore

ABSECON, NJ – A motor vehicle stop led police to the seizure of 2,000 bags of heroin in Absecon, at the Jersey Shore.

Absecon police reported at approximately 3:00 PM on February 27, 2022, a city officer was conducting traffic enforcement on U.S. Route 30 (White Horse Pike). Abdul-Uqda H. Ibin Aabid, 28, of Atlantic City was stopped for a speeding violation.

“During the course of the investigation, a K-9 officer from a neighboring jurisdiction responded to assist. A subsequent search of the motor vehicle was conducted and an excess of 2,000 bags of heroin were seized,” the Absecon Police Department said in a statement.
