Man shot during robbery at Oakmont pizzeria

OAKMONT, PA – A man was shot during a robbery at the Oakmont Fox’s Pizza restaurant on Sunday, according to the Allegheny Police Department.

Police said at 3:49 pm, officers and paramedics responded to Fox’s Pizza Den located at 314 Allegheny River Boulevard for a 34-year-old male shot in the chest and extremities during a robbery.

“The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Allegheny County Police detectives and Oakmont police initiated an investigation,” APD said in a statement. “Detectives learned the suspect, a black male, approximately 5’4” to 5’6” in height, slim build, wearing a ski mask and a red hooded sweatshirt with RMU across the front entered the shop and produced a handgun.”


During the robbery, the suspect and the victim were engaged in a struggle and the victim was shot multiple times. The suspect fled on foot towards California Avenue, the department said in a statement.
