BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – It’s official. Gas prices in New Jersey have officially passed the $4 per gallon mark at nearly every station in the county. Prices across the county range from $4.09 to $4.20 per gallon for regular unleaded. Across Ocean County, diesel prices are hovering at around $5 per gallon.
There’s still gas to be found under $4 per gallon at two gas stations, according to GasBuddy.com, however, to pay the $3.95 per gallon price, you’ll need a membership.
Costo gas stations located on Route 70 in Brick and Stafford Park Boulevard in Manahawkin are the last two stations selling gas for under $4 per gallon here in Ocean County.
That’s not expected to last. This week, President Biden’s administration is making calls to Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela to make deals with those countries to offset the flow of oil from Russia. Gasoline prices in New Jersey have climbed nearly 30 cents per gallon in many places over the past two weeks since Putin’s army invaded Ukraine.
