HARWOOD, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating multiple shots fired complaints in the area of Sands Road park in rural Harwood.
“On March 16, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m. officers responded to the area of Sands Road near Bayard Road for shots being fired,” the department said in a statement. “While searching the area another 911 call was received from the 1500 block of Flanders Lane advising someone just shot into their residence.”
Police said multiple bullets entered the home, over an occupied bed, and lodged in the wall of an adjacent room.
“The home was occupied by two adults when the shots were fired,” the department said. “Officers located evidence of at least 12 shots being fired and recovered additional evidence from an area outside of the home. No injuries were reported during this incident.”
