Brooklyn teen shot in building doorway

BROOKLYN, NY – A Brooklyn teenager was shot and injured as a gunman approached him, firing and striking him. The incident happened at around 9 p.m. on Monday, the New York City Police Department reported.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment where police said he was in stable condition from a gunshot wound to the right side of his torso.

The shooting took place in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. No further information was released by the police.
