NEW YORK, NY – There’s a new growing problem in New York City. While random attacks on Asians and subway slashings and assaults also continue to rise, a new trend is appearing across the city.

Women are being sexually grabbed and groped at an increasing rate, including young girls by random assailants on the streets.

On St. Patrick’s Day, a man walking near Lenox Road and Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, he approached a 31-year-old woman’s breasts and buttocks, the New York City Police reported.

The NYPD put out the following video of the suspect to identify him.

On Monday, an 11-year-old girl was grabbed near 43rd Avenue in Queens by a man. The man randomly grabbed the young girl and rubbed her buttocks.

Later that day, in an unrelated incident at the Astoria Boulevard train station an unidentified man approached a 29-year-old woman and rubbed her buttocks.

Three weeks ago, a man in Jamaica Hills groped two young girls on a bus.

“On Tuesday, Feb. 15 around 7:40 a.m., the suspect was on a Q65 bus near the intersection of 84th Avenue and 164th Street in Jamaica Hills when he approached a 13-year-old girl and touched her rear end over her clothes,” the NYPD reported.

Sexual assaults are rising in New York City. According to the New York Post, in 2020, sexual assaults against women rose 322% over the previous year.

In February, the number of rapes and sexual assaults once again skyrocketed. There were 99 reported incidents in the city in February of 2021. This year, 134 incidents were reported.
