TOMS RIVER, NJ – A New Jersey dad who allegedly called his six-year-old boy fat and forced him to run on a treadmill, eventually pushing him to his death will remain in jail until trial, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said today.

According to court records, Christopher Gregor, 29, of Monroe Township, set a treadmill on a high speed causing the death of his child Corey Micciolo. The boy’s mother Breanna Micciolo has also claimed the child was conceived through rape by Gregor.

On April 2, 2021, the boy was hospitalized, where he later died at Southern Ocean Medical Center in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township.

A state expert testified the child showed signs of long-term abuse and trauma, “Blunt impact injuries of the chest and abdomen with laceration of the heart, left pulmonary contusion and contusion of the liver.”

Several of Gregor’s ex-girlfriends have since come forward to document the man’s ill-treatment of his son.

On March 9, 2022, Gregor was taken into custody by Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Sea Bright Police Department, and Barnegat Township Police Department, and has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since that date.  The detention hearing was handled by Assistant Prosecutor Lynn Juan.
