BIG PINE KEY, FL – Police in the Florida Keys reported a 26-year-old man has been arrested after stabbing his 25-year-old brother with a steak knife during an argument Thursday night.

Police arrested and charged Logan Patrick McKain with aggravated battery.

“Deputy Anthony Buscemi arrived first to the residence on the 29000 block of Enterprise Avenue at approximately 7 p.m.,” the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said. “The victim stated he and his brother got into an argument, which led to his brother stabbing him in the chest and arm with a steak knife. The victim provided a description of the suspect.”

MCSO, in a statement, said the victim was taken to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon and then airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center in Miami.

Deputy Tanisha Multy found McKain not far from the residence and returned him to the scene.

“McKain told Detective John Gabay he and his brother had not been getting along as roommates and admitted to stabbing him during the previous argument,” the MCSO said in a statement.
