These six Ocean County gas stations are back under $4 per gallon

TOMS RIVER, NJ – You might hear President Joe Biden take credit for countering the “Putin Price Hike” over the next few days as gas prices drop slightly, but don’t expect that to last.

According to GasBuddy, a gasoline price tracking website and app, six Ocean County gas stations have regular gasoline for sale under $4 per gallon on Monday.

While President Biden announced the release of more oil from the federal petroleum reserves, that amount will not reverse the long-term trend in price increases. Today, the price of crude oil rose more than $4 per barrel after the European Union began discussing a ban on Russian oil as the former Soviet Union nation wages war in Ukraine.

Since taking office in January, under Joe Biden, gasoline prices rose from $2.40 to over $4 per gallon.

Across most of Ocean County, prices are hovering in the $4.05 to $4.19 price range, with a few exceptions much higher, but these six stations are selling regular gasoline for under $4 per gallon.
