U.S. Marshals Task Force Capture Middle Tennessee Murder Fugitive in Memphis

Memphis, TN – Paul Turner was arrested for First Degree Murder
on March 16 by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller made the announcement today.On
December 4, 2020, Montavis Jones was found shot to death at 285 N.
Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. On March 8, 2022, a warrant for
First Degree Murder was issued for Turner for this crime. The U.S.
Marshals Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force adopted the fugitive case.Working in conjunction with the Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task
Force, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force was able to develop
information that Turner was in the Memphis area. On the afternoon of
March 16, Turner was located in Memphis and taken into custody by the
Two Rivers Task Force without incident.The U.S. Marshals Two
Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the
Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its
membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s
Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies,
Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee
Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to
arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
