PASADENA, MD – A homeowner called the police after she heard a loud banging on her door. When police arrived they found James Wenig, 35, of Lothian, and Carlos Monroy, 32, of Hyattsville inside the residence.

Both men were charged for their breaking and entering, but during the commission of their crime, they left the homeowner’s door open, allowing her puppies to get out.

On March 20, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of 215th Street in Pasadena for a prowler complaint,” the Anne Arundel County Police Department said. “The homeowner advised someone was banging on her door. While on the phone with 911, the caller advised she thought the male entered the home through a rear door. Officers arrived on the scene and located two male suspects in the home. Both males were arrested and charged.”

Officers assisted the homeowner in finding three young puppies who scattered during the incident. There were no injuries to the homeowner or the puppies during this incident.
