Arrest Made in November Armed Robbery in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD – Police have reported the arrest of an armed robbery suspect wanted for a November 2021 incident at the Metro by T-Mobile store on New Hampshire Avenue.

Montgomery County Police said Eric Phillip Bucksell, age 52, of Baltimore has been arrested following the November 2021, armed robbery of a business in Silver Spring.

“On Friday, November 12, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., 3rd District Officers responded to the Metro By T-Mobile, located in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred,” the Montgomery County Police Department reported at the time of the crime. “Bucksell entered the location and approached the counter, announcing the robbery by motioning with his hand and stating he had a gun. Bucksell demanded money from an employee and then fled the scene with the stolen money.”

Police today said, based on evidence discovered during the investigation, the Montgomery County Police Crime Laboratory – Forensic Biology Unit and detectives from the Major Crimes Division, identified Bucksell as the suspect.


Bucksell was arrested in Baltimore, on Tuesday, March 22, by the Montgomery County Repeat Offender Unit.
