District Heights Man Charged With First Degree Murder

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD – 20 year old suspect, Charlie Stevenson, has been charged with first degree murder in the fatal shooting of 34 year old Anthony Forrest of Washington, DC.  

The murder occurred during a dispute between the two men on October 22, 2021 on Belle Haven Drive around 5:40pm.  When officers arrived on the scene for a reported shooting, they found Forrest in a parking lot, suffering from several gunshot wounds.  Forrest was taken to the hospital, but died shortly thereafter.  Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim and suspect knew each other.  Stevenson was charged in connection with the fatal shooting in October of 2021 by the Homicide Unit.

Stevenson remains in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status with first degree murder and other additional charges.
