Body Ejected From Hearse After Collision With Horse Trailer in Paramus

PARAMUS, NJ – A body being transported along Route 4 from a hospital to a funeral home was ejected after a rear-end crash with a horse trailer.

The Paramus Police Department reported they are conducting an investigation into a multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 South in the area of Route 4 Thursday afternoon.

“During the crash which involved a horse trailer and a funeral home livery vehicle an ejection of mortal remains occurred,” the Paramus Police Department reported.


Three people were hospitalized with none of the injuries being reported as serious. The horse from the trailer escaped uninjured.
