Two Charged for Stabbing in Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department has made an arrest in last Sunday’s stabbing of a woman on South Braddock Avenue.

Police initially reported, at 3:25 a.m. on March 20, 2022, officers responded to an incident in the 1500 block of South Braddock Avenue.

“Upon their arrival, officers discovered that an adult female victim had been stabbed. The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious but stable condition,” police said. “Edgewood Police Officers requested the assistance of the county police. Detectives with the General Investigations Unit initiated an investigation and learned that 24-year-old Chazadee Miller and 27-year-old Shayron Coleman, both of Wilkinsburg, were the persons responsible for the assault. Miller and Coleman fled the scene.”


On March 24, 2022, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Miller and Coleman. Miller was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and criminal conspiracy. Coleman was charged with simple assault and criminal conspiracy.

Both suspects have been apprehended and transported to the Allegheny County Jail for arraignment.
