Rowdy, Drunk Diners Refused to Leave REstaurant Until Police Showed Up

NEW HOPE, PA – A table of rowdy diners became more defiant and belligerent after a restaurateur at a South Main Street restaurant cut them off from further alcohol service.

According to police, the party became verbally aggressive, threatening the staff, and police assistance was requested.

“New Hope Police were dispatched to a South Main restaurant for a group of 8 subjects creating a problem with the staff. Subjects were reported to be loud and disrespectful,” the New Hope Police Department said. “The group was told that due to their behavior they would not be served any more alcohol. The group then became verbally aggressive causing concern to the staff. The group was addressed by the responding officers about their actions. The group complied with no further incident and went on their way.”

The name of the restaurant was not released.
