Fight Leads to Shooting in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – A fight had escalated into a shooting, but upon arrival, police found no victims.

“Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that at approximately 12:14 a.m. on March 31, 2022, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Madison Street and Hoover Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey on a report of fighting and gunfire,” the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said. “Upon arrival the police located a potential crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.”
