Detectives Asking For Help to Solve February Murder in Montgomery County

GERMANTOWN, PA – A murder committed back on February 10th is still under investigation by detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division, but now police are asking for the public’s assistance.

The fatal shooting occurred at the intersection of Cinnamon Drive and Mustard Seed Court in Germantown.

“At approximately 9:06 p.m., Thursday evening, 5th District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting that just occurred,” the Montgomery County Police Department said in a statement. “Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided life-saving measures until fire rescue arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition.”


The victim, Keon Jones, age 19, from Germantown, subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The investigation so far had determined that the victim was walking to his residence when an unknown suspect approached a vehicle and shot the victim.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the homicide suspect(s). Callers can remain anonymous.
