Police Seeking to Identify Downtown Silver Spring Gunmen

SILVER SPRING, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday, March 20th in downtown Silver Spring.

Today, detectives released a surveillance video of two suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

“At approximately 7 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2022, 3rd District officers responded to Kaldi’s Social House in 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers determined that a fight broke out in front of Kaldi’s Social House,” detectives said in a statement. “During the fight an unknown Black male suspect began shooting. A second unknown Black male suspect was observed displaying a firearm. Both suspects fled the scene of the incident.”

While on scene at Kaldi’s Social House, 3rd District officers located the scene of an additional shooting that occurred in the residential parking garage located in the 8110 block of Fenton Street.
