New Jersey Gymnastics Coach Arrested After Tip from DHS Child Crime Unit

LAKE HIAWATHA, NJ – A Lake Hiawatha gymnastics coach has been arrested and charged after New Jersey State Police received a tip from the Department of Homeland Security about photos of his students being circulated on the internet.

Nicholas Adair, 24, of Lake Hiawatha, was arrested after detectives discovered he was a gymnastics coach for juvenile females and was capturing inappropriate pictures during practices and competitions.

“On March 30, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit executed a search warrant at Adair’s residence and arrested him. As a result, detectives seized Adair’s cell phone which contained multiple files of child sexual abuse material,’ the New Jersey State Police said today. “Nicholas Adair was charged with manufacturing and possession of child sexual abuse material. He is detained in the Morris County Jail pending trial.”
