Damaged Traffic Light Repairs May Take Up To Two Weeks Due to Crash, Police Say

MONROE, NJ – A traffic light at the intersection of Prospect Plains Road and Applegarth Road might be down for two weeks after being damaged in a crash.

On Thursday, a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Prospect Plains Rd and Applegarth Rd resulted in severe damage to the traffic light system at this intersection.

“The Middlesex County Road Department is actively working on the repairs, however due to the extent of the damage caused, the traffic light may not be operational for up to 2 weeks,” the county said. “Please make every effort to avoid this intersection. Traffic on Applegarth Rd will not be permitted to make left turns. Traffic on Prospect Plains Rd will only be permitted to make right turns.”
