PITCAIRN, PA – The fugitive wanted for shooting and robbing an Olive Garden employee in Monroeville has been captured and charged by the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office.

Accorie Wilder-Mack, 22 years of age from Turtle Creek Borough, has been on the run since March 12, when he robbed and shot an employee of the Olive Garden restaurant, located at 260 Mall Blvd in Monroeville.

Police reported the shooting incident began in the lobby of the Olive Garden restaurant around 9:25 PM when Wilder-Mack created a disturbance and was told to leave the establishment.

“Upon leaving the building, Wilder-Mack knocked on the restaurant’s emergency exit door to get the attention of the victim,” the ACSD said. “The victim was lured to a parked car, where Wilder-Mack displayed a firearm and robbed the victim. A struggle for the firearm ensued and two rounds were fired as the victim gained control of Wilder-Mack’s firearm.  The victim was able to flee from the vehicle but was shot in the leg by an accomplice of Wilder-Mack.  Wilder-Mack chased the injured victim into the restaurant, forcibly retrieved the firearm, and fled the scene. The victim was treated for his injuries by staff and transported to a local hospital.”

On Tuesday morning, Sheriff’s Deputies conducting a fugitive investigation developed information that Wilder-Mack was staying with his girlfriend who lived in an apartment building in the Borough of Pitcairn. Deputies approached and surrounded the apartment complex located in the 200 block of Center Avenue.

“They located and interviewed the fugitive’s girlfriend and searched her apartment for Wilder-Mack, who was not inside,” the agency said. “Deputies became suspicious of the girlfriend’s statements, in addition, they observed several personal items belonging to the fugitive. Due to this finding, Deputies, with the assistance of Pitcairn Police, began to search the entire apartment complex.”

At 11:05 AM, Wilder-Mack was found hiding in an adjacent, unoccupied apartment that appeared to be under construction. Wilder-Mack was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Monroeville Police Department for questioning.

Monroeville Police have charged Wilder-Mack with aggravated assault, robbery, criminal conspiracy (2), carrying a firearm without a license, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault, and defiant trespass stemming from the March 12th incident.
