Police Identify Body Found in Jockey Hallow

MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the body of 73-year-old Mark Cozin, of Bernardsville after he was found dead Tuesday in the Morristown National Historical Park.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Morristown National Historical Park Chief Ranger Josh Minnich announce an investigation update into the discovery yesterday of a deceased person in Jockey Hollow section of Morristown National Historical Park.

“At approximately noon on April 19, 2022, a visitor walking the green trail at Jockey Hollow discovered an unresponsive 73-year-old male and called 911,” investigators said. “Park Law Enforcement Rangers, Emergency Medical Responders, Harding Police, Morris County Sheriff’s Office CSI Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded.”


The deceased has been identified as Mark Cozin, 73, of Bernardsville. At this time, the incident is not considered suspicious.
