PALYMYRA, NJ – Police in Texas have arrested 32-year-old Antonio Burke, the former boyfriend of Alicia Stilley, who was shot and killed at a South Jersey car wash last week.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Palmyra Police Chief Meghan Campbell announced that a former boyfriend has been charged with killing a 28-year-old woman who was found fatally shot last week in the parking lot of a self-service car wash in the first block of Filmore Street in Palmyra.

“Antonio Burke, 32, of the 2000 block of Harbor Drive in Palmyra, was charged with Murder (First Degree), Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose (Second Degree), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Second Degree) and Endangering an Injured Victim (Third Degree),” the BCPO said Monday. “Burke was taken into custody early this morning following a traffic stop in Dallas, Texas, where he will face a court appearance tomorrow. The criminal complaint against him was signed last week.”

According to police reports, the investigation began after officers from the Palmyra Police Department were called to the Hot Wet & Wax establishment at approximately 10:45 p.m. on April 18 for a report of an unconscious female who was bleeding.

“Upon arrival, they discovered the body of Alicia Stilley of Cinnaminson on the ground near her vehicle. An autopsy performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood concluded that Stilley died from a gunshot wound to the thorax,” police said.
