GLASSBORO, NJ (NJSP RELEASE – CHARITY) – This weekend, the New Jersey State Police Diversity & Inclusion Unit coordinated a youth soccer clinic at the Rowan College of South Jersey, Cumberland County Campus. Troopers and volunteers assisted kids with their soccer skills and later participated in some pick-up games to round out the event.

Besides the skills session, children in attendance received goodies including free soccer balls and several give-a-ways from the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. The children were also treated to an appearance by one of our State Police horses, Phantom.

Special thanks to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, Vineland Police Department, Millville Police Department, Bridgeton Police Department, Vineland Public Schools, Rowan College of South Jersey Gloucester Women’s Soccer Team, New Jersey Latino American Trooper Society and Rowan College of South Jersey Athletic Department for assisting during the event.
