WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – A 74-year-old dentist from Williamsville has pleaded guilty to charges that he forcibly touched a woman at his dental office in Greenhaven Terrace in Tonawanda.
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that 74-year-old Tiberiu V. Sfintescu, also known as Vali Sfintescu pleaded guilty before Town of Tonawanda Court Justice Daniel T. Cavarello to one count of Attempted Forcible Touching.
“On May 27, 2020, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the defendant attempted to forcibly touch the intimate parts of a female patient during an appointment at his dental office Greenhaven Terrace in the Town of Tonawanda,” Flynn said.
Flynn added, Sfintescu faces a maximum of 90 days in jail when he is sentenced on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. He remains released on his own recognizance.
According to court records, as part of the plea, the defendant sold his dental practice and voluntarily surrendered his license to practice dentistry to New York State. A temporary order of protection remains in place for the victim.
