Cumberland, MD – The Cumberland Police Department has released the following warrant arrest bulletins for warrants executed on May 1st and 2nd, 2022. The following reports were provided by the Cumberland Police Department.

BENCH WARRANTS SERVED/CDS ARREST
On Friday, April 29, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Belen Marie Waybright on three District Court bench warrants. The warrants were issued as a result of Waybright failing to comply with court orders on three separate cases. Waybright was originally charged with numerous CDS offenses and Trespassing. Officer searched Waybright incident to arrest and located controlled CDS paraphernalia in her purse. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. Waybright was held on a $2,500 bond for each warrant and an additional $2,500 bond on the on-view CDS charges.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED/DANGEROUS WEAPON ARREST
On Saturday, April 30, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Logan Aldrich on a bench warrant. The warrant was issued as a result of Aldrich failing to appear for his court case at the District Court of Allegany County. Aldrich was originally charged with Theft less than $100. Officers searched Aldrich incident to arrest and located metal knuckles (brass knuckles) in his backpack. He was transported to Central Booking at the Allegany County Detention Center. Aldrich was later seen by a District Court Commissioner who released him on his personal recognizance.

Monday, May 2, 2022
On Sunday, May 1, 2022, at approximately 8:54 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Baltimore Street at N. Waverly Terrace for a possible assault in progress. A witness had observed a male pursuing a female on foot and the male tackled the female to the ground. Upon their arrival, police located a male standing next to a female who was sitting on the curb. The male was identified as Gerald Kimmell. Police officers observed that both subjects appeared to have been in a physical altercation. The subjects were separated and interviewed. The female reported that she and Kimmell had an argument and he chased her on foot down the street. She explained that she stopped running and Kimmell collided into her causing her to fall forward onto the pavement. After further investigation, Kimmell was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later transported to Central Booking and seen by a District Court Commissioner for his initial hearing. Kimmell was released on a $2,500 unsecured personal bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Justin Miller. The summons was issued in connection with a reported robbery complaint. On April, 15, 2022 at approximately 10:55 PM, the Cumberland Police department responded to Willowbrook Rd. for a robbery. The complainant, Justin Miller, claimed to have been robbed of his wallet at knife point. After further investigation, it was learned that Miller fabricated the story and provided police with false information. As a result, the investigating officer filed for charges against Miller and a criminal summons was issued. Miller was released pending trial after being served.
