Men Posing As Uber Drivers Rob and Kidnap Unsuspecting Victims in D.C.


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an Armed Kidnapping that took place on the 600 Block of Florida Avenue in Northwest D.C. This incident happened on May 1st. Police are asking for assistance in helping to identify the suspects and their vehicle.

According to detectives, “At approximately 12:30 am, the victims entered a vehicle believing it was a rideshare vehicle. During the ride, the suspects produced a handgun and locked the doors of the vehicle. The suspects drove the victims around and demanded they take out money from an ATM. The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.”

Nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspects car, possibly a Dodge Charger.
