LINDEN, NJ – Police Chief David Hart, of the Linden Police Department says his department is still trying to find the driver involved in a hit and run collision last week that seriously injured 18-year-old Rayan Bien-Aima of Rahway on Route 1. Bien-Aima is still in critical condition in the hospital.

“Rayan was struck as he crossed Route 1 at approximately 11: 15 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022. The vehicle, believed to be a dark colored coupe or sedan, fled the scene traveling north on Route 1,” police said of the incident.

Now, the Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that results in an indictment and conviction.

“In a tragic case like this, no information is irrelevant,” said Police Chief David Hart. “Even the smallest piece of information can be the missing piece that helps identify the vehicle or driver involved in this crash and brings justice to Rayan and his family.”
