Cranford Police Report: Drug Charges, Criminal Trespass

CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Police Department today reported two recent incidents involving officers from the agency. These reports were provided by the CPD and published as-is to ensure the accuracy of the reports released by the department.

On 04/28/2022 at approximately 1320 hours, police stopped a Silver 2013 Honda on North Avenue at the Garden State Parkway Southbound Interchange for a moving violation.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Gregory Federici arrested the driver, Joseph Farago, for possession of prescription pills without a prescription and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  Farago was processed and provide a Superior Court Appearance Date.  In addition, Farago was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. Arrested: Yale Boykins, 24, Newark NJ

On 05/01/2022 at approximately 0520 hours, police were dispatched to the parking lot of a business located on the first block of North Avenue East for the report of an individual attempting to gain entry into parked motor vehicles.  Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz arrested Yale Boykins for criminal trespass.  Boykins was processed and provided a Municipal Court Appearance Date.  In addition, Boykins was charged on an outstanding warrant out of Newark NJ.
