Unlicensed Driver With Multiple DUI Convictions Arrested During Traffic Stop

RAMAPO VALLEY, NJ – Ramapo Valley Police have arrested a repeat DUI convict after he was pulled over by officers during a routine traffic stop.

According to police, Officer Michael DiDonato initiated a motor vehicle stop on Ramapo Valley Rd which resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old resident of Paterson.

“During the course of the stop, it was determined that the offender did not have a driver’s license to operate the vehicle due to multiple DUI convictions. The offender was taken into custody, criminally charged for Driving While Suspended for DUI, and later released on his own recognizance with a court date set to later appear in county cour,” police said. “The offense carries a 6-month period of incarceration upon conviction.”


Police did not release the driver’s name.
