Police Find Decomposed Body in Foreclosed Staten Island Home

STATEN ISLAND, NY – New York City Police on Tuesday reported they had responded to a call for service at a home on Richmond Terrace in Elm Park to find a severely decomposed body inside. Police said the home had been foreclosed by the lender. When a contractor arrived onsite to clean out the home, he found a body wrapped in a blanket inside where conditions were reportedly described as a hoarder environment. Police have not yet determined the identity of the body or cause of death.
