CUMBERLAND, MD – A Cumberland Police Department patrolman working the area of George Street on Thursday witnessed a plain sight drug deal between males at around 12:43 pm. According to the Cumberland Police Department, the responding officer contacted the subjects and identified one of them as Perry Nelson Hamilton Jr., 41.

“Hamilton was found to be in possession of two types of suspected CDS,” police said in a report. “It was determined that the amount of CDS located on Hamilton indicated an intent to distribute. Hamilton was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for his initial hearing.”

Police did not arrest or charge the potential buyer in the transaction.
