Philadelphia Man Arrested With Stolen Vehicle, Gun in Absecon

ABSECON, NJ – Officers from the Absecon Police Department arrested a Philadelphia man while patrolling on U.S. Route 30 Sunday morning.

At approximately 11:00 a patrol officer located a vehicle in the parking lot of an Absecon motel which was discovered to be stolen out of the City of Philadelphia during a carjacking.

“The investigation revealed that Tydre Nyair Burnett, 20, of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, was in possession of the stolen vehicle,” the department said. “Upon his arrest he was also found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. The Absecon Police Department is working with the Philadelphia Police Department on this case.”
