Third Suspect in Friday Night’s Murder of 20-Year Old in Germantown Arrested

GERMANTOWN – The Montgomery County Police Department has arrested a third suspect in the Friday murder of Taon Lamont Cline on Gunners Branch Road in Germantown.

“Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, identified 15-year-old Malik Hney of Kensington and 14-year-old Justin Acosta from Germantown, as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrests. Hney and Acosta were arrested on May 3,” police said. “During the course of the investigation, Major Crimes detectives discovered evidence connecting 16-year-old Malachi Hney of Kensington to the April 22 homicide, and he was arrested on Thursday, May 5.”

Malachi Hney was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit where he was served with a warrant for his arrest and charged with first-degree murder.
