TOMS RIVER, NJ – The annual Toms River Food Festival might have been canceled due to rain, but here are a few events you can check out instead this weekend.

Ocean County College is hosting an OCC Band concert from 7-9 pm featuring music by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Leonard Bernstein.

The Toms River Elks Lodge will be hosting a Kentucky Derby Day. The festivities begin at 3 PM inside the Lodge. There is a Ladies’ Hat contest, finger food, and the Gold Cup contest for a $10PP donation. Randomly, select your horse. 50% of the winnings will go to the House. Watch the Derby and cheer your horse across the finish line.

There’s also a Mother’s Day Pet Expo at Island Beach State Park. There will be craft vendors at the Jackson Outlets (check with the event host before going due to weather).

Want to chill out a little? Check out the 2022 Long Island Reggaefest at the Surf City Hotel in Surf City or unwind with “Rod Stewart Live from Las Vegas” at the Beach Haven Strand Theater.

On Sunday, celebrate Mother’s Day at the Casino Pier in Seaside Heights at Jenkinson’s in Point Pleasant Beach.
