Middle School Student Arrested after Making Terroristic Threats at Ocean County Shool

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Southern Regional School District middle school student was arrested and ordered to attend a psychiatric evaluation before returning to school after making threats of violence on Friday.

According to police, On Saturday, Southern Regional School District administration learned of a potential school violence threat that was made by a middle school student through a social media interaction that occurred during the evening hours on Friday.

“School Administration contacted Stafford Township Police and a cooperative investigation resulted in the identification and apprehension of the middle school student.,” the Stafford Poice said in a statement today. “The student was arrested and charged with making Terroristic Threats and will not be permitted to return to school until cleared by mental health practitioners.”
