Deceased Man Found in Scott Township Was Dragged by Car and Placed Along Street

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Scott Township at first didn’t notice any obvious physical trauma when a 43-year-old man’s body was discovered Sunday morning near the area of Booth Way and Boden Avenue in Scott Township.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, Scott Township Police responded to the scene and discovered a 43-year-old male deceased with no obvious signs of trauma.

Scott Township Police requested the assistance of the County Police Homicide Unit which investigated further.


“Detectives assisted Scott Township Police Officers with initiating an investigation. Investigators obtained video which showed a dark-colored sedan stop at the scene at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday when the victim’s body was dragged from the sedan and placed at the scene,” the department said. “Investigators believe they have located the vehicle involved and are working to identify the occupants.”
