Toms River Police Report Attempted Break-In in Exclusive Million Dollar Neighborhood

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Thieves targeted one of Toms River’s more exclusive neighborhoods where the entry-level price of a home is well over $1 million. This comes as thieves have been targeted at cars and homes across Ocean County in recent months.

“We are seeking your help identifying the individuals in the videos attached. On April 27th at approximately 10:30 PM, the individuals attempted to enter to a residence on Vincenzo Drive,” the Toms River Police Department said. “They were unsuccessful as the doors were locked. They then attempted to gain entry to the neighbor’s cars but the cars were locked and the actors left the area in the dark sports utility vehicle.”

Police told residents to look closely at pictures provided by the department.

“Often suspects are recognized by factors other than an image of their face. Pay attention to shoes, clothing and mannerisms as they may assist in the identification,” the department said.

Anyone who can identify the actors is asked to contact Detective James Carey at 732-349-0150 Extension 1292 or at jcarey@trpolice.org.
