Man Knocked out in Newark Bar, Now Police Are Searching for His Attacker

NEWARK, NJ – Police in Newark are trying to identify an assailant who punched a victim inside a bar multiple times, knocking him out.

Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who assaulted a male victim at a bar on May 7, 2022.

“At approximately midnight, the suspect was captured on surveillance video punching the victim in the face multiple times at a bar on New York Avenue. The victim lost consciousness, fell to the floor, and was later treated at University Hospital,” O’Hara said. “The suspect left the location as a passenger in a vehicle, believed to be a Chevy, which fled on Houston Street toward Wilson Avenue”
